Gaming, simulations, and virtual entertainment are the major areas included here. We are working towards integrating the virtual environment with hardware, in line with robotic telesurgery as well. Also included are virtual rides in simulated environments.
We are using ODE as the programming platform where a real-world system is created
into the computer. Thus, real-world interaction in terms of force, impact,
masses, and inertias are modelled into the system. Conditions are then
specified and the entire virtual environment will react accordingly based
on the computation inside the simulated world, creating a real-world feel
of the virtual actions.
